The free agency is a few days old in the Nfl While the teams are starting to install their lists for next season. Each League team seeks to hoist the Lombardi trophy like the Philadelphia Eagles last month because they were a team that built part of their Super bowl Line of championship with smart signs of free agent.
The Corner Half Cours this year in Free Agency has a lot of good veterans teams could use to improve, with many starting caliber corners in their thirties. Darius Slay, Rasul Douglas, Jonathan Jones and Stephon Gilmore would be key assets for teams seeking to improve their secondary – or teams can sign free corners of large tickets like DJ Reed and Charvarius Ward.
The Coin Demi class is one of the strongest groups in an average free agent class, even with all the players in the thirties. Long-term offers may not be the norm with this group, but any team that signs these players will obtain excellent value for 2025.
Maybe the corner half will go early, but the teams can afford to be patient and find the right adjustment (and the price) with some of these players. While the new league year should start, it is the best corner half half that should strike the free agency.
- Age: 28
- 2024 team: New York Jets
- Average annual salary: $ 11 million
Reed is one of the underestimated corner of the league, winning a chance to be a CB1 after spending several years with Gardner sauce. The opposing quarters targeting Reed last season completed only 46.3% of their passes, because it only granted two passing pass and a note of 63.0 passers -by as a principal defender on the cover. He also had 11 passes defended.
Reed had seven interference and zero interception penalties, but he was one of the coherent corner half and is a locking defender.
Best adjustments: 49ers, lions

Jordan Dajani
Already a good cover corner with two franchises (the 49ers and the chiefs of Kansas City), Ward again strikes the market for free agents. The opposing quarters targeting Ward last season were very successful, because Ward abandoned a note of 93.3 passers -by as the main defender of the coverage.
Ward has experienced a year of coverage, granting five Touché and zero interception passes – but it only granted a note of 54.9 passers -by on the cover during the two previous seasons (with six interceptions).
The teams that pursue Ward should expect the 2022-2023 version, not to the player last year.
Best adjustments: 49ers, patriots
Slay comes out of one of his best seasons, while the opposite quarters targeting him only contribute 47.1% of their passes. Although Slay had no interception, he granted a score of 63.6 passers -by as the main defender on the cover, recorded 13 pass ruptures and granted only two affected. He also posted career costs in the completion rate (47.1%), authorized yards (371), supplements of more than 20 yards (three), first authorized stockings (15) and a rate of rupture of passage (19.1%).
Not a surprise killer is on the market of free agents after his release by the Eagles, but there is a chance that he can return to Philadelphia. Even at 34, Slay is one of the best available corner half.
Best adjustments: Eagles, Ravens, Steelers
- Age: 29
- 2024 team: Detroit lions
- Average annual salary: $ 14.8 million
Always one of the best roofing corners, Davis provided a stable presence in the Lions secondary before his jaw injury in December puts an end to his season. The opposing quarters targeting Davis completed only 55.1% of their passes and obtained a dimension of 62.7 passers -by when Davis was targeted as the main defender on the cover.
Davis had two interceptions and granted three touching passers -olds, and granted a smuggler’s note of less than 65.0 in three of the last five seasons. It is an active veteran for any team that signs it.
Best adjustments: Steelers, Buccaneers
Playing next to Gilmore was massive for Murphy because he finished with a career summit of six interceptions last season. One of the league bullets, Murphy has 13 interceptions in the last four seasons – and 3+ interceptions in three of the last four years.
Murphy gave a smuggler rating of 62.0 career passers -by last season, but also a full rate of 69.7% in coverage career. Combining Murphy with an established veteran would be ideal, but it is an asset for a secondary.
Best adjustments: Vikings, raiders
- Age: 31
- 2024 team: Buffalo bills
- Average annual salary: $ 3.5 million
A veteran who participated in several teams around the League, Douglas is one of the underestimated cover corners of the League. Last year was a strange year for Douglas, because the opposing quarters who targeting him had a note of 90.6 passers -by – one year in which Douglas had had no interception in 15 games.
Douglas only granted only 58.2 passers -by on the cover in the last four seasons, with 14 interceptions. He is a strong veteran for any list at this stage of his career.
Best adjustments: Invoices, packers
- Age: 35
- 2024 team: Vikings du Minnesota
- Average annual salary: $ 7 million
The former defensive player of the year is still strong in the mid -1930s, because Gilmore was a stabilizing presence in the Viking secondary last season. Gilmore granted five touchdown and a note of 78.0 passers -by on the cover last season, but this was awarded to the defensive program more than its capacities.
Perhaps 35 play a role, but Gilmore has enabled a passer noted less than 65.0 as the main defender on the cover during the past five of the last seasons. It is always an asset for a secondary in the right system.
Best adjustments: Ravens, Steelers
Difficult to believe that Jones entered the mid -1930s, but the veteran came from his worst season on the cover. As the main defender on the cover, Jones granted a note of 112.6 passers -by and 70.2% of the passes launched to be completed. He granted seven Touché and zero interception passes.
It was the same player who granted a note of 63.2 passers -by on the cover in the previous three seasons. Perhaps a change of decor would benefit Jones as he heads back nine in his career.
Best adjustments: Chargers, Buccaneers
The son of the former Ali-Pro Asante Coin Demi-Asante Samuel, Samuel Jr. did not authorize a pass of Touché and had no interception in the four games he played last season. Samuel had “stinger symptoms” that prevented him last year, and says he will be ready for the start of the off -season program – wherever he finds himself.
A solid defender on the cover, Samuel Jr. should be a departure corner in 2025. He has a 70.8 quarry gateway note authorized as a principal defender.
Best adjustments: Vikings, Buccaneers
Another veteran cornerback on the market, Hilton had a year of coverage last year (86.0 passers -by authorized when targeted). The opposing quarters targeting Hilton last season completed 74.6% of their passes.
Hilton is always one of the best corners in the Nfl (and probably the best since 2020). There should be good teams that queue for its services.
Best adjustments: Steelers, commanders
