The UEFA Champions League is back This Wednesday with day 8, the final of the inaugural league phase. It could very well be the most eventful chaotic day in terms of results that sport has ever seen. The 36 teams will be in action while 18 games will take place simultaneously at 3 p.m. eight with so much to decide. Manchester City is currently outside looking, so the issues could not be higher.

What is necessary: Win and Manchester City appear in the Top 24
The stakes could not be higher for the side of Pep Guardiola. Manchester City was among the best candidates to win the Champions League and they find themselves outside looking at the table. The objective can be simple, but it is a side where execution was a problem. If City beats Brugge, they went to the next stage and playing at home, they will have to do that exactly, but the defense collapsed even with tracks of three goals in this competition for points. If Brugge wins or even draw, they will also be at the direct elimination stadium, something that Christos Tzolis will have at the top of the Etihad stadium on Wednesday. The pressure is in town.
