Additionally, Andrews also had two assists, his most since November 2023. Kaseem Watson was another key player, going 6 of 11 on his way to 14 points plus five rebounds and two steals.
Meanwhile, NJ Tech’s game on Saturday was tied 33-33 at halftime, but fortunately for them, it didn’t stay that way. They won against Navy by a score of 69-64.
NJ Tech’s victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in strong performances. Perhaps the best of them was Sebastian Robinson, who went 9 for 16 on his way to 19 points plus five rebounds and two blocks. Robinson struggled to find his footing against Seton Hall on Wednesday, so this was a step in the right direction. Another player who made the difference was Tim Moore Jr., who had ten points in addition to four blocks.
Delaware State’s victory improved its record to 4-6. As for NJ Tech, their victory improved their record to 2-9.
Wednesday’s game is shaping up to be a scrappy game: Delaware State has crashed the boards this season, averaging 39.1 rebounds per game. It’s a different story for NJ Tech, as they only average 33. Given Delaware State’s considerable advantage in this area, NJ Tech will need to find a way to close that gap.
