In what is both unexpected and a little random, the Sacramento Kings have acquired the Jonas Valančiūnas center of Washington Wizards for Sidy Cissoko recently acquired and two second round choices.

Sacramento Kings: a
First of all, a little household maintenance. The Kings were able to leave Cissoko too soon because he was not excited with another player.
(This must be mentioned because several teams seek to potentially remove parts that have recently been acquired, so if it becomes a theme before the deadline of tomorrow, it is good to withdraw this little information.)
Valančiūnas is not a player who was strongly involved in commercial rumors, although his name was occurring with regard to Lakers and Warriors during the previous steps of the season.
Now he is a king, and he will make a very effective addition on the bench given his prowess and the ability to rebound.
Valančiūnas only plays 20.1 minutes per game this season and reports 11.5 points and 8.2 rebounds in these limited outings.
For a team of Kings who must rely almost exclusively on Domantas Sabonis to bounce back – which he does at a ridiculously elite level himself – his compatriot Valančiūnas makes a necessary and extremely important inclusion to the list.
The Lithuanian duo will undoubtedly seize an important part of the team’s rebounds during the rest of the season, just as the two will offer hard screens for the use of newly acquired Zach Lavine.
Although we can debate all day if the Kings should have rebuilt rather than to remain competitive, they have at least chosen a direction and carry out quality quality for this specific path.
It looks like a solid rock A, given how the kings have chosen to proceed.
Washington Wizards: B +
As for Washington, they get two second rounders and Cissoko, which is worth a leaflet. It is no different from the previous addition of the day when they faced AJ Johnson and the Milwaukee Bucks equity project in the Khris Middleton-Kuzma exchange.
This is normal for the course for reconstruction wizards, and rightly so. They are not in a hurry to be competitive, and use the valančiūnas contract to become younger and reconstruct their draft cabinet, is just logical, good deal.
Adding Cissoko to a list that already has French colleagues Bilal Coulibaly and Alexandre Sarr is sure to be appreciated by the old spur, who has never completely cracked the rotation in San Antonio, and is now looking for ‘A new blow.
With the second half of the season already underway, it is now time for Washington to throw things on the wall and see what sticks. Cissoko is worth at least one launch or two for the rest of the year.
The Wizards have done a solid job here, so B + seems to be a fair note given their situation.
