The Wyatt Sicks made one of the most spectacular debuts in WWE history. Uncle Howdy and his friends were immersed in the adoration of the crowd after a backstage bloodbath. It was strange and cinematic, and the late Bray Wyatt was proud.

Their brutal decimation of Chad Gable and the WWE staff suggested that a nightmarish takeover would follow. But Wyatt Sicks’ presence on Raw has been more of a recurring dream than a never-ending nightmare. The Wyatt Sicks had ancillary storylines with Gable’s American Made and Karrion Kross’ Final Testament factions. Bo Dallas – the real brother of former WWE Champion Wyatt – promises there’s a lot more to come.

“It’ll come back there,” Dallas told CBS Sports while detailing the “Bray Wyatt” Edition of WWE 2K24, available now. “There are going to be ups and downs. We will come back more explosive than ever and keep the vibe and the feeling that everyone saw. It will take turns that no one saw coming. I think the future is very exciting and looks very promising, very bright for the Wyatt Sicks.”

The approach of introducing supernatural-adjacent gadgets like the Wyatt Sicks requires careful consideration. These characters often operate differently from the typical professional wrestling archetypes who fight for money and championships. The Wyatt Sicks have more fictional touches and different agendas. A delicate hand is required to balance their wrestling and character work. You want the Wyatt Sicks to struggle enough to stay relevant, but not so much that they ruin their mystique.

“Whenever they need to eliminate someone,” Dallas replied when asked how often the Wyatt Sicks should wrestle. “Whenever the Wyatt Sicks deem it necessary. We can do it any day of the week if necessary.”

Wyatt is the heart and soul of the Wyatt Sicks. It’s important in the long run that Wyatt Sicks isn’t overshadowed by his namesake. You cannot and should not remove Wyatt from the Sicks, but the group must stand on its own.

“Everything will be explained in time,” Dallas said. “You’ll see Bray in everything we do, for sure, because he’s the source of the ideas. But as this progresses, more ideas and my emotions and those of the Wyatt Sicks in everything they lived, will all be highlighted there.

“The Wyatt Sicks, I have no fear or problem in saying that we have no worries about being left alone. This first part is the main tribute to Bray, and everything will come. Everyone in Wyatt Sicks is in Wyatt Sicks for a reason.”

Taylor Rotunda – the man who plays Bo Dallas and his alter ego Uncle Howdy – compares Wyatt Sicks’ trajectory to his personal heartbreak. Grief is not linear, nor is the road map of his new family in front of the camera.

“I draw from real emotions and what happened in my life. What I was going through and what I’m going through,” Dallas said. “In keeping my brother’s legacy alive, there will be a lot of ups and downs. I’m very cathartic with this character. He frees me a lot. I almost can’t live without him anymore. There are directions that I know I want to go, where we all want it to go, and where it will probably go…

“When I put on the Uncle Howdy mask, I had a lot of trepidation about coming back and doing this. ‘Can I do this? Will I be able to do this without my brother?’ As soon as the music hits and I hear the crowd, it’s like nothing else. I’ve been wrestling for 16 years, it’s a completely different feeling when I wear this mask to talk to me. “call Taylor or Bo. My name is Uncle Howdy and I believe it.”

Wyatt, 36 years old, multi-world champion deceased of a heart attack triggered by a COVID-19 infection on August 24, 2023, according to to professional wrestling reporter Sean Ross Sapp. He fell ill in January after defeating LA Knight at the Royal Rumble in his last appearance.

Wyatt returned to WWE in September 2022 after being released by the promotion. Dallas, who was also released, joined him under the alter-ego of Uncle Howdy. This was the first time the brothers performed together on the main WWE roster. A dream come true for Dallas and Wyatt, lifelong horror fanatics who grew up in the famous Rotunda-Windham wrestling dynasty.

“We had waited our whole careers to put these ideas together, so we were excited like little kids who had never done it before,” Dallas said. “We were calling each other at three in the morning to come up with new ideas. We had so many ideas in those few months we were working together. I thought I lost that chance when he passed away. I thought it was gone and that it had been taken away from me.”

The Wyatt Sicks keep Dallas and Wyatt’s dream alive. Wyatt’s wild imagination extends beyond his days on Earth and can’t be limited to Monday Night Raw. WWE 2K24’s “Bray Wyatt” Pack includes a new design of Wyatt’s “The Fiend” mask that was not shown on television. The mask, first featured in the documentary “Bray Wyatt: Becoming Immortal,” can be used by players of the game.

“For this to happen in 2K, for people to be able to see what Windham’s idea was and see it come to life, that’s my whole source of energy,” Dallas said. “It’s incredible. It means everything to me and I know it means everything to him.

“He’s up there watching and loving it. I’m so appreciative of WWE for giving me the opportunity and the platform to keep my brother’s legacy alive. It’s incredible.”
