Look: Reds honoring Pete Rose with a patch n ° 14 on their uniforms for the 2025 season

The Cincinnati Reds honor the legendary pink pete slugger, wearing a patch n ° 14 on their jersey sleeves throughout the coming season.

In an article on the team’s X account, the Reds published a photo of the patch with a legend that said “14 by our side all season” with an emoji of heart. Rose died in September 2024 at the age of 83.

Rose spent 19 of her 24 seasons in the majors as a member of the Reds. The legendary striker was one of three winning teams from the World Series, including the “Big Red Machine” in the 1970s. Rose also won a World Series title in 1980 with the Philadelphia Phillies.

During her 24-year-old career, Rose was an All-Star of 17 times and won the MVP of the National League in 1973. Rose also won three sticks in the stick, two gold gloves and was appointed recruit of the National League of the Year in 1963.
