The Buccaneers of Tampa Bay will have a few more weeks to conclude a contract agreement with the free recipient waiting for the free agent Chris Godwin.
The team and the player agreed on Tuesday to postpone the void date on the Godwin contract on the eve of the start of the new year of the league, giving them until March 12 to agree on a long -term agreement. If they cannot agree by then, Godwin will become a free agent without restriction. Bucs will now not be able to use the franchise tag on Godwin because the new vacuum date comes after the deadline for the franchise tag.
Godwin comes out of a torn ACL at the start of last season, but he should always be one of the most wanted players on the market if he goes to the free agency. The teams can never have enough high -level passes sensors, and Godwin turned out to be a man from a reliable slot to the worst and a star caliber receiver at his best.

Bucs are the most obvious and best landing point. There is a reason why they and Godwin have mutually agreed to postpone the void date on their contract, and it is probably because they each want to find a way to conclude a long -term agreement. Continue to play alongside Mike Evans and work as one of the two targets of Baker Mayfield seems to be the most likely result for Godwin.
