Before the elimination room this Saturday, Dave Meltzer of “Newstling observing Newsletter” reports that Drew McIntyre suffers from a knee problem. Although the injury does not seem to be major, because the knee of Scotsman was swollen and was to be drained before the February 21 edition of “Wwe Smackdown”. Meltzer also noted that McIntyre’s injury will not keep it out of action.
Last October, McIntyre suffered a serious injury in his match Hell in Cell with CM Punk in Bad Blood, while the head of the “Scottish warrior” was opened after being hit by a toolbox. McIntyre would receive 16 staples to close the injury after the match, but he only returned to competition in the ring in December when he beat Sami Zayn during the main event on Saturday evening.
McIntyre should participate in the men’s elimination room tomorrow night against Seth Rollins, Logan Paul, Damian Priest, CM Punk and John Cena. It remains to be seen if McIntyre will be a full participant during the bedroom match on Saturday evening, or if WWE will limit its involvement in order to avoid other damage to the knee.
McIntyre’s creative level speculations before Wrestlemania 41 were also revealed earlier this month, with Meltzer noting that the double WWE champion should enter a quarrel with Damian Priest. The news occurred after Priest eliminated McIntyre of the Royal Rumble 2025, and with the two men transferred to “Smackdown” during the transfer window, it seemed that a match between the two was planned for “the biggest scene of all”. That said, the creative direction of McIntyre for Wrestlemania 41 would have changed before the elimination chamber this weekend.
