There was a large contingent of IU fans present at Alaska Airlines Arena and they closed the game with songs of “Hoo Hoo Hoosiers” to celebrate the third consecutive victory of their team.
This atmosphere adapted to Indiana has not gone unnoticed by the Washington coach Danny Sprinkle.
“Indiana, I mean, it was as if the place was packed in red,” said Sprinkle.

He spoiled the UW’s attempt by White Out – the announced attendance was 7,851 and it seemed that Indiana fans were made up of a third of the crowd – and contributed to the slow start of the Huskies. The Hoosiers took a two -digit lead before the expiration time for the media under 12, while Washington went more than five minutes without any points.
It was the fifth meeting of all time between schools, but the first on the Washington campus and their first match as Big Ten rivals. Indiana is currently 1-1 against the new members of the conference and will face Oregon to conclude its West Coast road trip Tuesday evening.
The Hoosiers will train in the Seattle region on Sunday before flying to Eugene. The team will eventually go to Bloomington six nights.
“We had a day to really work when we went out here,” said Indiana coach Mike Woodson. “We did not do much today. We left to go out. But yesterday we had a good practice and we worked. We have to run them again, and I thought that today was a beautiful postponement because these guys played well, I thought.”
