Women of the state K win all-BIG 12 honors, Serena Sunday appointed first team
Kansas state-of-the-art basketball was well represented among the winners of the regular season of the Big 12. In total, five players won the honors of all the conferences during the announcement on Monday.
Guard Serena Sunday Pulled the group, winning the honors of the first All-Big 12 team. Ayoka Lee Won 12 -year -old honors at both teams, and before TEMIRA Poindexter Managed the third conference team. Guard Jaelyn Glenn was an honorable mention of all the Big 12, while the guard Zyanna Walker was a winner of the All-Big 12 defensive team.
This season marks the first team in the history of the program that K-State had five players in the All-Big 12 teams since the League training in 1996-97.
Twice winner of the first All-Big 12 team, Sunday led the nation with 220 career assists, with an average of 7.1 assists per competition. She finished second in the team by scoring at 13.5 points per game, but led the team in total points (418).
Although Sunday was considered a competitor for the honors of the Big 12 Player of the year, the price was awarded to the TCU Hailey Van Lith goalkeeper.
Despite the end of the end of the season with an injury, Lee won the honors of all the conferences for the fifth time in his career.
Lee leads the team by scoring 15.5 points per match in a better career shot of 65.6%. She also directs the team in rebounds (6.1) and blocks (2.2) per game.
Lee is expected to go back to the NCAA tournament after undergoing a procedure on foot before the end of the season.
A Tulsa transfer, Poindexter is in its first season with the Wildcats. It collected an average of 12.7 points per match on a 46.7% career shot and a 40.3% shot in three points.
From a multi -year start, the honors of Glenn de Glenn on all the conferences intervened after a season where she collected on average 9.7 points per game on the best career shot. Glenn also has an average of 3.0 assists and 1.71 interceptions per game.
Glenn is currently fifth of all time in the history of the career flights with 258. This figure is the best by a wildcat in the Big 12.
Walker is the fourth WildCat to win the Honors All-Big 12. She currently has a career summit in interceptions (56), blocks (18) and rebounds per game (3.9). Walker ranks 11th in the Big 12 for interceptions per game (1.81) and collected 15 games with several interceptions.
