Washington Capitals, Alex Ovechkin, is one of the most announced players of In the NHL history. The legendary striker has already engraved his name in history, but he still continues the goal record of Wayne Gretzky.
Ovechkin is about to become the leader of all NHL times, and he can pass the Gretzky brand from 894 before the end of the season. The capital of the capital is currently 885 career goals after scoring in the third period of Wednesday match against the New York Rangers to equalize things at 2-2. Washington won 3-2 in overtime.
He now needs 10 more goals in the remaining 20 games of the team to exceed the Gretzky record this season.

Ovechkin has currently collected 1,599 points (885 goals, 714 assists) in his professional career. He made even more history in 2023-24 when he recorded an NHL 18th season of 30 goals, going from 17 for the honor of Mike Gartner.
At the rate of this season, given the health, Ovechkin would exceed “the big one” before the end of the regular season.
Ovechkin will probably continue to be a strength established on the best unit of power of capital, so there are many score opportunities. Obviously, he scored at a much better pace than a year ago, when he only recorded five goals in the first two months of the season.
