The Kush Maini driver was chosen on Tuesday as a reserve and test of the pilot by the Formula 1 Alpine team. After Alpine’s announcement, Kush became the third Indian driver to join an F1 team, joining the elite company of Narain Karthikeyan and Karun Chandok. Kush, which is part of the Alpine Academy, joins Franco Colapinto, Ryo Hirakawa and Paul Aron as a test and reserve driver. The Australian recruit Jack Doohan will run for Alpine this season, alongside the French veteran Pierre Gasly.
“Kush Maini. 2025 Test and Reserve Driver. We are delighted to announce that our driver of the Alpine Academy extends his role to join our test and reserve tests for the 2025 season,” said Alpine to the announcement through a publication on social networks.
