After struggling through five straight losses, Sacramento State finally turned things around against Cal St.-Stanislaus this past Sunday. They topped the Warriors 98-47. With the Hornets ahead 50-30 at halftime, the game was already almost over.
Even though they won, Sacramento State struggled to get the ball on offense and finished the game with only five offensive rebounds. It was the fewest offensive rebounds they had recorded since January.
Meanwhile, Bethesda’s recent rough patch got a little tougher Saturday after its 12th straight loss dating back to last season. They were completely outplayed by Utah Valley on the road and fell 119-59. The Flames were in a tough spot after the first half, with the score already 56-29.
Sacramento State’s win ended a four-game home drought and moved them to 3-9. As for Bethesda, their loss dropped their record to 0-4.
It was all rosy for Sacramento State against Bethesda in their previous meeting in December 2023, as the team took a 100-45 victory. In that game, Sacramento State took a 54-13 halftime lead, an impressive feat they will look to repeat on Monday.
