While watching D-Generation . One of the pioneers of “suck it”, WWE Chief Content Officer Paul “Triple H” Levesque, spoke out on the “Roommates Show” about the controversial impression he and Shawn Michaels had on children.
“We were just talking about it yesterday. We’re moving to Netflix on January 6th with (WWE) Monday Night Raw, so we were at this ‘lunch and learn’ thing they call for Netflix yesterday in Los Angeles, and all these media outlets there, and all that, and probably six different media people, like high profile media people, came up to me and said, “Man, I so wanted to come here and tell you ‘suck it,’ and do it cut crotch,’” Triple H said.
Lévesque also noted that the people who lived out their fandom with him all had something in common: They got their first detention at school doing a crotch cut. The WWE Hall of Famer said he and Michaels didn’t care that they ruined a generation of kids who constantly got in trouble for impersonating them.
“It’s funny that you were doing stuff around the time when the Attitude Era hit, when the DX stuff took off, when (the crotch shot) hit, you look back on it now and it’s crazy , and it’s so special and all that, but back then it was just what you did, and we were just doing our thing.”
