Kevin Nash was always open to getting into the business because his size gave him some advantages, but he was also quickly learning the ins and outs of wrestling.
In a new episode of “Click this“, Nash thanked two members of Kliq for teaching him the craft of wrestling, which he said contributed to the success he enjoyed as Diesel in the early ’90s.
“Scott (Hall) and Shawn (Michaels) were the most instrumental because when I was the Diesel character and I was the bodyguard on the outside,” Nash said. “It was just the three of us traveling and I just watched the whole process. How you talked about the match in the car, how you came into the building, changed things, went to the ring, worked the match, and came back, changed, removed, so it was just a matter of psychology, work – just learning the right way to do the whole process.”
Although Nash credits learning the psychology of the business, he also admitted recently that part of success in the wrestling business comes down to “credibility” and a willingness to work with others.
Nash, Hall and Michaels were eventually joined by Sean Waltman and Paul Levesque, better known as X-Pac and Triple H respectively, forming the group that would become The Kliq. It was from this faction that groups like D-Generation X and New World Order were born, as well as several careers in the WWE Hall of Fame.
