Last night, AJ Styles returned to the Royal Rumble of 2025 for the men of “Phenomenal”, the same song he presented nine years earlier in his official WWE debut during the same titular event. Afterwards, he joined WWE Cathy Kelley To discuss more nature in a complete circle of his Royal Rumble return.
“Have you noticed that I also wore the same equipment? About the same colors, everything,” said Styles. “(It’s) almost the same experience with fans, the world of WWE. It’s been a minute because I was injured and I’m back, but guy, that feeling you get when you go down this Alley and thousands of people want you, oh, I don’t know if it’s better than that.
Before the premium live event of February 1, WWE fans saw the styles for the last time in the October 4 episode of “WWE Smackdown”, where he suffered an injury while fighting Carmelo Hayes. The veteran interpreter later revealed him as an injury to Lisfranc, which affects ligaments and bones in the middle of the foot.
When it was released Royal Rumble, Styles eliminated its former rival the Knight from the competition. A few moments later, he also found himself withdrawn from the match, graciously of Logan Paul.
“I will never live that, being eliminated by Logan Paul,” said Styles. “… I went there and I did what I had to do. I stayed there for a long time. I was there with the big dogs and I held the field. Unfortunately, I did not see the only one (Paul) coming behind me who apparently jumped on the table, to scan on the steps and took me to the WWE.
We do not know if the styles will return to “Smackdown”, or go to the brand “WWE RAW” as the last minute selection in the transfer window.
