Carlos Alcaraz sealed a move on the loan from the transfer date to Everton de Flamengo on Monday, announced the Premier League club.
The International Agreement for under 23s in Argentina takes place until the end of the season, Everton having the possibility of making the move permanent in summer.
“I am ready for any challenge with this beautiful club, that’s why I came and I accepted the offer to continue fighting for my dreams,” said Alcaraz.
The 22 -year -old attacker midfielder previously played in the Premier League for Southampton and had a loan to Juventus.
Alcaraz began his career with the Racing Club at the age of 17, helping the Buenos Aires team to raise the Argentinian champions trophy in 2022 by scoring the winner in the final against Boca Juniors.
He scored three goals and provided two assists in 19 games since his arrival in Flamengo last August.
“We tried to add players to give ourselves more depth, especially after the recent injuries we have taken over,” said Everton manager David Moyes. “Carlos has a Premier League experience, he is still young and we think he can bring energy to the team that will help us by the end of the season.”
Moyes, who trained Everton from 2002-13, returned to the Merseyside Club in early January after having dismissed the manager of the time, Sean Dyche. The Toffees occupy 16th place in the Premier League on 26 points after 23 games.
