Last Saturday, during John Cena’s shocking turn after winning the elimination room, the rapper nominated at the Grammy Awards, Travis Scott, was also present in the ring, while looking at Cena unleashed an attack on the undeniable champion of WWE Cody Rhodes. Scott would eventually contribute to the assault on “The American Nightmare”, delivering a right hand while Cena held Rhodes on the ring carpet. That said, Dave Meltzer now reports that Rhodes suffered an injury during the closing segment of the elimination chamber due to Scott’s involvement.
In the last edition of the “Wrestling Observer Radio,” Meltzer revealed the injuries that Rhodes suffered due to Scott’s physical participation in the corner.
“Cody was injured … I’m almost sure it was Travis Scott who did it.” Meltzer said. “I heard that he had an exploded eardrum and an eye with black butter.”
So far, there is no longer an update on the severity of Rhodes injuries, but it is Always planned to appear on the Friday of “WWE Smackdown” Friday. Recent reports have also suggested that Scott’s participation in the elimination chamber has been considered since January and that WWE has future plans to continue presenting Scott on their programming. The American rapper also trained at the WWE legend school, with the possibility of participating in a ring that would have been discussed. However, it remains to be seen what the backstage reaction will be to hurt Scott, as well as if the WWE will reconsider the rapper involved in the physical level in the future.
