Best WWE Signings of 2024

2024 has been a crazy year for WWEand over the past 12 months the list has undergone several changes (both positive and negative). There haven’t been many releases from WWE, with more names coming in than leaving. Not every WWE signing has been an absolute success, but there have been some very important additions to RAW, SmackDown, and NXT.

The following wrestlers are the best signings WWE has made in 2024. Not everyone has been perfect, but they are still the most successful and strongest signings made to the company over the past year.

It’s nice to see Rowan back in WWE

Erick Rowan made his return to WWE in 2024, joining Uncle Howdy as part of the Wyatt Sicks faction. Rowan being involved in something Bray Wyatt related is very nice to see.

The Wyatt Sicks have been around a lot since joining WWE, even if they haven’t done much. Rowan isn’t the best signing by any means, but he’s certainly in the top 10 considering Wyatt Sicks has been a solid addition to the undercard.

Naomi is a reliable member of the women’s division

WWE can still do more with Naomi

Naomi returned to WWE at the 2024 Royal Rumble event after a very lucrative run in TNA. It’s safe to say that her return didn’t live up to the expectations many thought it would after how good she was outside the company, but she was still one of the key names in SmackDown’s women’s division.

She is a trusted name that has helped carry the division and regardless of how well she was booked, her signing has been very beneficial for WWE.

Motor City’s machine guns quickly rose through the ranks

They became WWE Tag Team Champions

It was long overdue, but Chris Sabin and Alex Shelley signed for WWE, bringing their decades of experience to SmackDown’s tag team division. Within weeks, the Motor City Machine Guns won the WWE Tag Team Championships, which was arguably way too soon.

Their journey has had its ups and downs, but they are still a good signing for WWE as they will bring invaluable depth and experience to the WWE tag team division moving forward.

Andrade proved himself in the WWE Midcard

He has been a constant name on television

It took WWE a little while to get things right with Andrade, but when he was given more opportunities to wrestle, he became a fixture in the mid card and someone who is a steal constant number of shows in the weekly programming.

Ethan Page received a lot of attention in NXT

He became NXT champion in 2024

Ethan Page left AEW and quickly headed to NXT where he immediately received a major push and became NXT Champion. Some of his feuds and matches have been hit or miss, but his move to WWE was undeniably a positive move for his career.

He looks more comfortable in the WWE environment, and it looks like he’ll add a little more quality to at least the midcard division of the main roster when the time comes.

Tama Tonga impressed with his role in the lineage

He surpassed Tonga Loa

On the post-WrestleMania SmackDown, Tama Tonga emerged in WWE and went straight to the main roster, joining Solo Sikoa in the New Bloodline. Tonga fits right into WWE programming, impressing both as a character and in the ring.

New Bloodline member Tonga Loa is okay, but Tama Tonga has definitely been the better of the two, so he’s much higher on this list. He thrived in main events and big matches against WWE’s best.

Rock was back at its best in 2024

He returned to the ring and turned heel

The Rock has had an on-and-off relationship with WWE over the years, but in 2024 he was re-signed, joining the board and becoming a regular on-screen talent during Road To WrestleMania.

His heel turn was fantastic, his presence was still important, and his return to the ring proved to be a success. Simply because other signings will be more beneficial in the long run for WWE, he cannot be ranked among the top three signings of the year, despite being an all-time great.

Giulia is a future face of the women’s division

She’s set to become the face of NXT

Giulia was a highly anticipated arrival, and it was clear that WWE had big things in store for her given the build around her debut and first few months.

She’s a young, promising individual who will not only elevate the NXT brand, but she could well become one of the biggest names on RAW and SmackDown in a few years. In terms of signings, Giulia was a sought-after and highly valued person. Therefore, for WWE to get their hands on her was a great move for the promotion.

Stephanie Vaquer proved to be a natural in NXT

WWE beat AEW to sign Vaquer

The reason Stephanie Vaquer is pretty much a better signing than Giulia is due to the fact that AEW was also competing for her, so she ended up being a bigger coup for WWE considering she very well could have gone elsewhere.
