For the goalkeeper of the Missouri Caleb Grill, there was part of the Tigers’ victory in the second round on the state of the Mississippi in the SEC tournament which stood out above the others.
Grill estimated that the tigers rediscovered their identity during the 85-73 victory. The Missouri (22-10) came from three consecutive defeats to end its regular season. The first, for Vanderbilt, came to overtime, and a defeat against Kentucky at home was also close.
Although the Missouri withdrew at the end of Thursday’s match, the two teams remained close to most of the competition. The Bulldogs (21-12) had an advance until 4:52 to play in the second half, and the 12-point Tigers’ final margin was their biggest match.
“The most important thing and I think the most exciting thing about this game was just to come back to who we are,” said Grill. “I had the impression that we got out with it in the last two games of the season, so I felt like this evening, that was how we were playing throughout the first part of the conference game and non-conference and it was good to finally return to the way we played at that time.”

The Missouri rediscovered identity in the dry tournament against the state of Mississippi
Here is why Caleb Grill estimated that the most exciting part of Missouri’s victory over the state of Mississippi in the SEC tournament was to rediscover its identity.
Grill did not have his best game on Wednesday. He scored only five points, going 2 for 11 on the field. Tamar Bates led the Missouri scorers with 25 points while Tony Perkins had 20. However, Grill struck a first half-time buzzer.
“The concentration of end -of -game situations was important for our team,” said Anthony Robinson, guardian of Tigers. “We went out here and did this evening and competed to win.”
