LAWRENCE — Kansas basketball fell out of the top 10 last USA TODAY Sports Coaches Pollwhich means he is at his lowest ranking of the season.
The No. 12 Jayhawks (10-3, 1-1 in Big 12) split their first two Big 12 Conference games of the season last week. This included a disappointing home loss to the no. 23 West Virginia, and a blowout road win over UCF.

Next up for Kansas is a Wednesday home game against Arizona State, then a Saturday road game against Cincinnati. This is an opportunity for the Jayhawks to pick up their first home win since the start of the Big 12, as well as a chance for them to pull off what would likely be considered an impressive road win. KU is trying to stay in contention for a Big 12 crown in the regular season.
In the top 25, Kansas follows No. 3 Iowa State and No. 11 Houston. Elsewhere in the top 25, there are only the Mountaineers. An impressive week would likely get the Jayhawks back into the top 10.
