Barcelona and Real Madrid remain on track to meet in the semi-final or final of the Copa del Rey after avoiding each other in Monday’s quarter-final draw.

The two teams ended up tied in the round of 16, with Barça traveling to Valencia and Madrid taking on Leganés.

The remaining quarter-finals will see Atlético Madrid host Getafe and Real Sociedad face Osasuna, who eliminated holders Athletic Club in the last round.

All four matches will be played in the week beginning February 3, with the winners advancing to a two-legged semi-final.

This could mean two more Classics this season if Barça and Madrid progress and draw in the last four.

There also remains the possibility of a Madrid derby in the final stage of the competition if Real and Atlético continue to progress.

Copa del Rey quarter-finals:

Valencia vs Barcelona
Leganés against. the real Madrid
