Continuing his rapid ascent, the world champion of Gukesh dethroned the compatriot Arjun Erigiasi to become the best classified Indian chess player, in the fourth row, in the last fidance ranking on Thursday. GUKESH, 18, obtained a feat when he recorded his second victory at Tata Steel Tournament at Wijk Aan Zee (Netherlands) defeating Vincent Keymer from Germany. Gukesh, which recently received the Dhyan Chand Khel Ratna, accumulated 2784 rating points, while Erigaisi, who was the long -classified Indian for a long time, slipped to the fifth with 2779.5 notation points.
The Magnus Carlsen of Norway continues to be the undisputed world number 1 with 2832.5 points, followed by the Grand Master of the United States, Hikaru Nakamura (2802) and the Comrade of the Fabiano CARUANA country (2798).
Gukesh has been in sublime form since he beat Dingn of China to win the world title in Singapore in December of last year.
