Tessa Blanchard made news of her return to TNA Wrestling at their Final Resolution event on December 13, a moment that garnered a lot of backlash given Blanchard’s past. She left TNA in 2020 in a cloud of controversy despite holding the company’s world championship, and was virtually kicked out of her job for another company in the United States after being accused of bullying and of racism. However, she’s back in TNA, the company has a plan for her, and in a recent edition of “Wrestling Observer Radio“, Dave Meltzer believes this decision could eventually lead to her joining WWE.
“It’s a really strange story, but it might just be a favor for WWE,” Meltzer said. “I mean, the idea is if she’s in TNA for a while and there’s no big reaction or anything, they might bring her to WWE because he There are women in WWE who want to work with her. There may be some who don’t, but I know there are some who do, and she is very controversial for all the reasons that. everyone knows, and it’s a bit like a test.”
Meltzer also found it strange that Blanchard did not drop out of the CMLL Women’s World Tag Team Championships she held with Lluvia before leaving the promotion, but said it was not a decision by TNA. What was a decision by TNA was to not only hide her return from many people, but also to put her in a short program with Jordynne Grace, someone who strongly opposed working with Blanchard. Meltzer claims there is another WWE-related reason for this feud.
