3rd quarter report
There’s only a quarter left between the Nuggets and the victory they were favored to get tonight. Sitting on a score of 99-92, they appear to be the better team, but there is still a quarter to play.
If the Nuggets continue to play like this, they will reach their record of 22-15 in no time. On the other hand, the Nets will have to settle for a 13-25 record unless they turn things around (and quickly).

What you need to know
The Denver Nuggets’ home game will continue as they prepare to take on the Brooklyn Nets on Friday at 9 p.m. ET at Ball Arena. The Nuggets are strutting around with some offensive power as they have averaged 120.5 points per game this season.
The Nuggets come into the match having completely beaten the Clippers: they dominated them in every quarter. Everything went in the Nuggets’ favor against the Clippers on Wednesday as the Nuggets took a 126-103 victory. Denver pushed the score to 98-77 late in the third, a deficit from which Los Angeles had little chance of recovering.
The Nuggets’ victory was a true team effort, with many players putting in strong performances. Perhaps the best of them was Jamal Murray, who shot 4 of 6 from deep and nearly dropped a double-double with 21 points and nine assists. Additionally, Murray also posted a three-point shooting accuracy of 66.7%, which is the highest he has posted since April 2024.
The Nuggets worked as a unit and finished the game with 29 assists (they are ranked first in assists per game overall). They easily outscored their opponents in this department as the Clippers only posted 14.
Meanwhile, the Nets’ recent rough patch got a little tougher on Wednesday after their third straight loss. The game between them and the Pistons wasn’t particularly close, with the Nets losing 113-98.
The Nets’ loss came despite a quality game from Noah Clowney, who had 29 points plus six rebounds and two steals. Clowney struggled to find his footing against the Pacers on Monday, so this was a step in the right direction.
Denver’s victory improved its record to 21-15. As for Brooklyn, their loss dropped their record to 13-24.
This competition is shaping up to be an explosion: the Nuggets have had no problem coming up with scoring this season, averaging 120.5 points per game (they are ranked third overall). It’s a different story for the Nets, as they only have an average of 107.2. The only thing standing between the Nuggets and another offensive beatdown is the Nets. Will they be able to contain them?
The Nuggets didn’t have too much breathing room in their matchup against the Nets in their previous meeting in October 2024, but they still came away with a 144-139 victory. Do the Nuggets have another win up their sleeve, or will the Nets turn the tables on them? We’ll have the answer soon enough.
