The diffuser of the renowned temple, Dick Vitale, will return to television on Saturday for the first time since 2023 of Clemson, in South Carolina, to call the home match of the Tigers while they welcome Duke n ° 2 in town. Vitale has been on an interruption of almost two years of television when he has fought against four different types of cancer in the past four years. He had to be back on television last month but underwent an accident at his home which has further delayed his return.
The Duke-Clemson game is expected to tip at 6.30 p.m. with the Blue Devils, who play Syracuse on Wednesday, potentially entering the match during a sequence of 16 consecutive victories. Clemson has also led a radiator recently with victories in nine of his last 10 games leading to Tuesday evening’s home match against Georgia Tech.
Vitale announced on January 8 that it was cancer without suffering five major cord surgeries, 65 radiotherapy treatments and six months of chemotherapy. He recently underwent surgery in the summer of 2024 after a biopsy of a lymph node in his neck showed cancer.
His return will take place 22 months after his last assignment with ESPN when he was broadcast by the National National Uconn match against San Diego on April 3, 2023.
Vitale has been with ESPN since the 1979-80 season and called more than 1,000 games during its illustrious career. His career achievements include the consolidation of the temple of the Basketball of Basketball of Naismith Memorial and the Temple of Fame of Basketball of the College, and he played a decisive role in the collection of tens of millions of dollars along Years for research on pediatric cancer via the Vationale V.
