It was a fairly quiet week on the shake-up in men’s college basketball. Thus the summit of new USA TODAY survey on sports coaches is largely unchanged.
Tennessee remains No. 1 with 20 of 31 first-place votes. There was less drama for the Volunteers after a blowout win over Illinois the previous Saturday. Auburn received the other 11 first-place votes and sits in second place overall, helped by a drubbing of Purdue Iowa State which remains in third place.
Kentucky, the highest-rated team to suffer a loss this week to Ohio State, falls six spots to No. 10. The rest of last week’s top 10 teams maintain the same order by moving up a notch, led by No. 4 Duke. and No. 5 Florida.
