Stephanie Vaquer has become the very first northern double champion of NXT and North American by defeating Giulia during the main event of the “WWE NXT” roadblock.
Giulia has tabled the challenge for the fight two weeks ago for “NXT”, surprising the fans with the announcement of a title for the match for the title so shortly after having won them respectively. Giulia would be confronted with an injury and should therefore take time to recover after losing his title against Vaquer. She has always fought a fairly competitive and physical fight with the idea that she could still win the title of Vaquer, at several stages, having her opponent locked up to take submission and adopt the movement of Vaquer to drive her face to the canvas between her knees.
But Vaquer would finally fight through his attack to finish in a dominant way, sending back the favor to drive the face of Giulia in the carpet before delivering a dragon screw from the area, followed with a SVB for a narrow fall. Vaquer sought to push for the arrival of the upper rope, but Giulia had spotted him and passed through her last attempt at submission; Vaquer has escaped, hitting a pair of superkicks and consecutive SVBs for the winning fall.
Vaquer was then left to celebrate in the ring with her preserved titles and new titles while Confetti was raining, and the comment noted that she is the first double women’s WWE champion since Becky Lynch in 2019 – she is also the first double champion born by South America in the history of WWE.
