John Cena’s Talon of the Talon of WWE elimination chamber earlier this month sent shock waves through industry, many outside the professional struggle, even taking note of history. During a recent edition of “83 weeks”, “ Eric Bischoff was asked if he thought that AEW could execute an angle at a similar level, and the former WCW executive fell to the concept.
“I think it is unhealthy to compare AEW to anyone,” said Bischoff. “Aew does things. WWE does WWE things, and they do their respective things in their respective universes. They are not the same universe; why would you compare them? Why would you compare a T-Bone Steak-Oh, I don’t know-six ounces of yogurt?”
The co-host Conrad Thompson largely supported the feeling of Bischoff, although he pushed the insult based on food. According to Thompson, the real reason why AEW cannot recreate the effect of the segment of the elimination chamber is because they do not have their own CENA, which has years of consumer exhibition, and Bischoff has accepted.
“There is no one who could do what John Cena did,” said Bischoff. “This person does not exist.”
Although it does not currently have an official role in WWE, Bischoff has maintained a relationship with the company, making recent appearances on “WWE NXT” as well as the “WWE LFG” reality series. Regarding his future in the industry, Bischoff recently declared that he would continue his participation in the struggle until he no longer has fun.
The rest of the episode of the Podcast focused on the Tour of Cena, Bischoff renting the decision and the performance of all the people involved. Cena has not yet returned to television after the elimination room segment, but it has been confirmed that he will appear on “WWE Raw” next week.
