Brighton Before Evan Ferguson finished a loan move to West Ham until the end of the season, it was announced.
“Evan had 12 months frustrating with injuries and for him to return to the level he is capable of and continue his development, he must really play regularly,” said Brighton boss Fabian Hurzeler, in a statement.
“This loan gives him this opportunity, and under a manager, he knows well. We look forward to looking at Evan’s progress in the coming months, and we wish him good luck.”
Ferguson joined Brighton from the Irish club Bohemians in 2021 and was largely considered to be one of the brightest talents in the Premier League thanks to his technical capacity and his objective.
He marked a hat trick against Newcastle United in 2023 and was linked to a move in many best clubs in Europe.
Only Michael Owen (28), Wayne Rooney (15) and Francis Jeffers (12) scored more goals in the Premier League before their 19th birthday than Ferguson.
But Ferguson has found minutes more difficult to find in recent years and its development has blocked.
The international of the 20-year-old Republic of Ireland will find the former head coach of Brighton, Graham Potter, in eastern London.
West Ham wanted to sign an attacker in the January transfer window after Jarrod Bowen took an injury to the foot and Michail Antonio was involved in a serious road collision which left him a broken leg.
