Fernandes Sparks Man United as the hope of the Europa League survive

Manchester, England – The Manchester United season could be on life support, but with Bruno Fernandes Refusing a resuscitation, Ruben Amorim’s team is still alive.

The hopes of recovering something from this disastrous campaign are based on the UEFA Europa League. Thanks to the captain of United, there is a draw against Lyon to wait until next month.

Fernandes scored a hat trick while Real Sociedad was beaten 4-1 in Old Trafford on Thursday. It was enough for a 5-2 victory over aggregate and a night that seemed to be set to be filled with nerves and anxiety ended in a party atmosphere. There was not much for United Fans, but it was one of their best performances under Amorim.

He was inspired by Fernandes and if he remains in shape and fit, he could still drag this team to a trophy and a qualification of the UEFA Champions League.

“We have already talked about Bruno a lot,” said Amorim later.

“We know that sometimes he is frustrated. We know that he wants to win so badly, so when things are not doing well, he changes position and goes after the ball. Sometimes he needs to trust his teammate, but when we need it, he is still there. He can advance the ball, he can score goals, he can defend. He is a perfect captain for our team and we need to win.”

Fernandes savored his role as a Savior. With attackers Rasmus Højlund and Joshua Zirkzee Strugging to find the net, the Portuguese midfielder was directly involved in 11 of the last 13 goals from United. This includes his magnificent free kick against Arsenal on Sunday, and against Sociedad, he followed it with three.

Two were calmly calm. His third was a clinical finish after a raging late race because almost all the other players on the field seemed to have trouble suffering. To finish, Diogo Dalot Wrapped the result in time of time.

While Fernandes headed for a corner, the match won safely, he obtained a standing ovation and was serenade with songs for “Bruno, Bruno”.

Without Fernandes, it could have been very different.

United was poor in the first 10 minutes and abandoned the first goal for the 10th time in 12 games at Old Trafford when Mikel Oyarzabal marked with the place.

Fernandes responded with his first penalty six minutes later and his second just after half time. United’s task has been facilitated when Jon Aramburu was sent only seven minutes after having replaced a fault on Patrick Dorga.

Dorgu, signed by Lecce last month, was excellent. He won the second crucial penalty and thought he had won another before the decision was canceled by Var. Amorim’s 3-4-3 system has seemed much more coherent since the introduction of the 20-year-old Denmark international.

Another signature of winter transfer window, Ayden Heavenwas just as impressive. The 18 -year -old was signed as the first team player, but it is unlikely that Murim was planning to use it so early. Injuries at Lisandro MartĂnez,, Harry Maguire And LENY YORO Awarded an early opportunity to paradise – first against Arsenal and then against Sociedad – he seized it with both hands. Made his first senior start, he was strong and agile to the left of the three rear.

He had the composure in Nip after Oyarzabal in his own course area while United was trying to play from the back and treated a height of height that was exhausted by him by him by Casemiro under pressure. It has shown a confidence that was missing from many united players this season.

“We are dealing with the problems of the present and we show the future,” said Amorim.

“This match was really good for everyone in the club. We have shown that we are ready for this kind of game.

“Our exhibition against Arsenal was not beautiful but that helped us a lot to believe. We have suffered a goal but we continued to play. Since the first minute, we continue to believe that we can go to the next step. You can feel the fans, the noise. It is difficult to explain. You feel the confidence of the supporters. It was a very good night.”

If the sky and Dorgu were mainly signed with the future in mind, the present depends a lot on Fernandes. In this week’s interviews, the co -owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe has scored some of the players of United “overpayed and not good enough”.

Fernandes was the only one to go out with credit, described by the British billionaire as “a fabulous footballer”. Without Fernandes, he said, it would be “really difficult”.

Ratcliffe wants the Champions League income to launch its plan to rebuild United. He needs money to support Amorim with the players and to finance the new stadium unveiled this week. Continue in the Europa League maintains the intact possibility. He has thank you for keeping United alive.
