What you need to know
The Bulls and Pacers have been tied 5-5 since February 2022, but not for long. The Chicago Bulls will face the Indiana Pacers on Wednesday at 7 p.m. ET at Gainbridge Fieldhouse. The Pacers are favored, but considering the odds didn’t stop the Bulls in their last game, the team may have another surprise up their sleeve.
Last Monday, the Bulls didn’t have much breathing room in their game against the Spurs, but they still came away with a 114-110 victory. The victory was all the more dramatic because Chicago trailed by 19 with 11:02 left in the third quarter.
Zach LaVine stood out from the competition offensively by recording a double-double with 35 points and ten rebounds. His night made it three straight games in which he scored at least 30 points.
Meanwhile, the Pacers entered their Monday game with two straight wins…but they came away with three. They earned a comfortable 113-99 victory over Brooklyn.
Among those leading the charge was Tyrese Haliburton, who had 23 points and eight assists. Additionally, he also posted a three-point shooting accuracy of 57.1%, which is the highest he has posted since November 2024.
Even though they won, the Pacers struggled to get the ball on offense and finished the game with only five offensive rebounds. They were smoked by their opponents in this department as the Nets struck out 20.
Chicago’s victory was their third straight at home, which improved their record to 17-19. As for Indiana, they have performed well recently as they have won four of their last five games, which significantly improved their 19-18 record this season.
Not only did both teams in Wednesday’s matchup win their last few games, but they also took care of their bettors and covered the spread. Looking ahead, the Pacers are the favorites as experts expect them to win by 5.5 points. They might be worth a quick bet since they’ve covered the spread the last three times they’ve played.
The Bulls fell short against the Pacers in the teams’ last game in December 2024, losing 132-123. Can the Bulls avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We’ll know soon enough.
