What you need to know
The Indiana Pacers will face the Phoenix Suns on Saturday at 7 p.m. ET at Gainbridge Fieldhouse. After coming off a win as an underdog, the Pacers will come in as favorites.
Last Thursday, the Pacers earned a 128-115 victory over the Heat. Indiana pushed the score to 107-83 late in the third, a deficit that Miami reduced but never really recovered from.
Tyrese Haliburton had a dynamite game for the Pacers, dropping a double-double with 33 points and 15 assists. This is the most assists Haliburton has recorded since January 2024.
The Pacers worked as a unit and finished the game with 35 assists. This strong performance was nothing new for the team: they have now recorded at least 26 assists in ten consecutive games.
Meanwhile, the Suns’ recent rough patch got a little tougher on Tuesday after their third straight loss. They fell to the Grizzlies 117-112. Phoenix failed to live up to its potential and fell short of the advantage oddsmakers thought they had heading into the game.
Kevin Durant gave a good effort for the losing team, recording a double-double with 29 points and ten rebounds. His night made it four straight games in which he scored at least 30 points.
Indiana’s victory improved its record to 17-18. As for Phoenix, their loss dropped their record to 15-17.
