Kylian Mbappe is able to start Real Betis this weekend after missing Copa del Rey’s match in Real Madrid mid-week after dental surgery, coach Carlo Ancelotti said on Friday. The French striker was rested for the 1-0 Wednesday victory at Real Sociedad in the semi-final of the Cup at first sight after having withdrawn a tooth of wisdom. “Mbappe’s tooth? Well, I think it’s gone, and he’s not going to get it back,” Ancelotti told journalists. “But other than that, he is fine, he is ready to play, with a lot of desire.”
The Liga title champions, the leaders of the Madrid trails, Barcelona, on the difference in goals in a tight title race, with Atletico Madrid, only one point behind in third place.
They are faced with a delicate trip to Betis seventh place on Saturday, before welcoming Atletico in their Champions League in the last match next Tuesday.
Mbappe has been in good shape in recent months, with 14 goals in its last 12 games in all competitions.
Madrid will be without the suspended Bellingham Jude, but Ancelotti has played fitness problems on the Fede Valverde midfielder.
