The Dallas Mavericks have done everything they can to defend the trade of Luka Dončić who sparked the excitement among their fans base, in the wrong direction. In a way at least one way, however, they recognize that fans have the right to be upset.
In the midst of demonstrations and criticisms of the league fans, the team offered reimbursements to at least some fans who canceled the subscriptions following the trade that sent Dončić to the Los Angeles Lakers in exchange for Anthony Davis , according to Espn And Sign.
Dallas did not confirm that he did it when WFAA stretched his hand, rather offering the following declaration:
“Regarding tickets, no determination has been made about the pricing of seasonal tickets for the 2025-26 season. Members of the season abandonment will hear their representatives in the coming weeks.
Regarding reimbursements, we appreciate each relationship of member of the season and the representatives are available to take the calls of members with concerns or questions. “”
Eighteen games remain on the Mavericks calendar, including a Los Angeles Lakers’s April 9 visit which would likely be Dončić’s return to Dallas.
It is difficult to think of a trade in recent history of the NBA which has invited more contempt for a separation team with an All-Star. While many teams keep young superstars with enough pressure to transform coal into diamonds, the Mavericks have voluntarily contacted the Lakers and offered a player who made five first consecutive teams, justifying the movement with concerns about his conditioning And its next supermax operation.
For his part, Dončić was polite about his forced resettlement, while the Lakers kindly thanked Dallas for having done business with them.
Mavericks’ criticisms include Dončić’s father, who called the Hypocrites team. Former control owner Mark Cuban, who still has a participation in the team, has moved away from the decision. And the fans went out to the American Airlines Center carrying a blue coffin.

Even with Davis on board and a chance to make the playoffs, this trade already seems to occupy a sadly famous place in the history of Dallas sport. Consequently, why the team does everything it can to make its fans less upset, even if it means abandoning ticket income in the near future.
