Meet Carlos Prates, the last feeling of the UFC

You need courage and determination to be part of the ultimate combat championship, but it takes much more to support and succeed.

Many fighters have their UFC debut every year, but only a few stand out from the others. Carlos Prates du Brazil is one of those fighters who made a name for himself in his first two fights.

On the surface, it could be assumed that the inclusion of Prates in the UFC list was due to its impressive performance to the series of competitors of Dana White, where he marked a KO in the second round against Mitch Ramirez. But it’s much more than that.

Prates made his professional debut in MMA in 2012 and had more than 20 fights to his credit before deciding to try UFC. He then won the Welter weight title at the MMA promotional combat tournament based in Sao Paulo in 2022.

Cut in February 2024: “The nightmare” made its UFC debut and did not look back. He was adjusted transparently, winning a performance of the night bonus for his Ko of Trevin Giles.

He pocketed another bonus four months later, eliminating Charles Radtke in the first round. But he was just beginning. He closed in 2024 with consecutive Knockuts from Li Jingliang and Neil Magny, winning two other performance of night bonuses and securing a place in the top 15 of Welter.

Another fighter who looks intended for grandeur is Fatima ‘The Archangel’ Kline of the United States. She underwent an unanimous decision -making decision against the veteran Jasmine Jasudavicius when she started. However, the loss cannot be a criterion to assess its capacities, because it has accepted the short -term fight.

Kline 2025 started with a blow when she won a victory in the second round over Russia Viktoria Dudakova. Straw weights are engaged in a heavy competition, Dudakova often. However, Kline frequently worked in the higher position, quickly focused on delivering damage and finally won via strikes.

Before her UFC entry, Kline had an impressive 6-0 professional record. This includes championship victories in straw weight and fly weight divisions under the Fury Fighting Championship cage banner, preceded by a sequence of four consecutive victories in Invicta FC.

Can Ashhul find his second wind?

India Anshul Jubli (on the left) will return to action at the UFC when it faces Quillan Salkilld of Australia in a light fight at UFC 311.

ASHUL will aim to bounce back after a disappointing start of the UFC and to become the second Indian to win a victory at the UFC after Puja Tomar.

In his fight against Mike Breeden in the United States, Ashul started positively but quickly lost momentum in a few seconds. Displaying a superior technique, he dominated the majority of the first two laps. However, he began to lose focus when Breeden used waste at the start of the third round.

Although Anshul could counter the physical offensive of Breeden, he struggled mentally, losing the focus half of the final round. This led him to drop his guard and finally be knocked out by Breeden.

The 30 -year -old later admitted that a lack of experience had contributed to the loss. However, with more than a year of additional training and his problematic knee supported, the “king of lions” is determined to overthrow his fortune.

The secret behind Adesanya’s success

Arc rivals and former champions of medium weights Robert Whittaker and Israel Adesanya were recently seen banging together. Whittaker posted photos on his official Instagram account with legend: “Rival one day, the friends the next one.”

This training session became before the main event of Adesanya against Nassourdine Imavov in France during the UFC combat evening on February 2.

The photos highlight the meticulous preparation of Adesanya. The two fighters were seen carrying tibias guards and engaging in an intense exchange of leg kicks.

The reason? IMAVOV, who had 10 fights in the UFC and is classified fifth compared to the second of Adesanya, uses an unorthodox secondary position with an agile leg game and relies on the kicks to tire his opponents.

On a mission to recover his lost average weight belt, Adesanya seems to have understood the formula of success. However, his training session with Whittaker underlines that longevity in any field requires continuous experimentation and adaptation.
