Days later, the Yankees spent their Soto savings on Max Fried, agreeing to an eight-year, $182 million contract with the left-handed ace.
Blake Snell kicked things off by signing a five-year, $182 million contract with the Dodgers. as the World Series champions added more rotation depth and star power. Willy Adames followed his own mammoth Seven-year, $182 million contract with Giantsthe greatest franchise in history.

Yusei Kikuchi was the first of CBS Sports’ Top 50 free agents to sign, agreeing to a three-year, $63 million contract with the Angels on November 25. The Mets have already begun revamping their pitching staff, adding Frankie Montas for two for one year, $34 million and Clay Holmes for three years, $38 million.
The Orioles, meanwhile, add some pop with a three-year, $49.5 million deal for Tyler O’Neill. Aroldis Chapman is headed to the Red Sox on a one-year deal worth $10.75 million and Luis Severino will welcome the A’s to Sacramento on a three-year deal worth $67 million. Nathan Eovaldi returns to the Rangers for three years and $75 million.
