This match between the twins has generated a lot of expectations. After so many years together, as one of the best tag teams in WWE history, Jimmy and Jey would face off in a singles match on the biggest stage of them all.
Unfortunately, the story wasn’t as good as other brotherly feuds in wrestling history and, most importantly, the execution was terrible. They’re twins, but it seemed like they didn’t know each other at all and the match ended up being poor.

Liv Morgan Vs. Rhea Ripley – Bad Blood
A few misses ruined the match and possibly the feud

After a solid match at SummerSlam and a fun mixed team match at Party in BerlinLiv Morgan and Rhea Ripley clashed again at Bad blood. The match was expected to be even better than that of SummerSlamas the rivalry had heated up, but unfortunately the match was very disappointing.
The in-ring action was boring and a few hiccups, including the finish, completely ruined the match. The booking wasn’t bad, but the execution was terrible.

defending the undisputed WWE Championship against legends like Randy Orton and AJ Styles and a rising star like LA Knight generated high expectations. This was expected to be a very exciting and chaotic match, just like WWE knows how to produce.

Roman Reigns didn’t have a very busy 2024, but his matches were still unmissable!
Unfortunately, the match did not live up to expectations. It wasn’t a bad match by any means, but fans expected a lot more from these megastars. In the end, The Tribal Chief retained the title without much hassle.
7
Rhea Ripley Vs. Becky Lynch – WrestleMania 40
This match had the potential to be an all-time great match, but failed to deliver on its promise

The greatest women’s match WWE could produce for FightMania 40 was Rhea Ripley against.
Becky Lynch
and, indeed, Triple H did the logical thing and booked this match. This match had the potential to be one of the best in women’s wrestling history, but unfortunately failed to live up to expectations.
The promos weren’t exceptional, the story was basic, and the match, while good, wasn’t as memorable as it could have been. At the end, Bayley and IYO SKY were the women who stole the show at WrestleMania.
6
Damian Priest vs. Drew McIntyre Vs. Seth Rollins – Money in the Bank 2024
Drew McIntyre cashed in his money in the bank contract

Drew McIntyre
won the Money In The Bank Ladder match and cashed in his contract the same night in the world heavyweight title match between Damian Priest and Seth Rollins, which was average, somewhat boring.
The addition of McIntyre made the match more exciting, but not better. There were some huge mistakes and CM Punk’s interference only made things worse. The match was disappointing, and the fact that the Money In The Bank briefcase was wasted like this only infuriated the fans.
5
Source circuit breaker versus. Sami Zayn – SummerSlam
The match was too short and rushed

Sami Zayn defeated the longest-reigning Intercontinental Champion of all time, but lost the title shortly after in a match that lasted just five minutes. Zayn should have looked stronger during his reign and should not have lost to Bron Breakker at SummerSlam.
Or at least he should have lost after a tremendous battle, showing that he left it all in the ring and that Breakker truly is a beast. That said, it’s no wonder this short match was disappointing.
4
Drew McIntyre Vs. CM Punk – SummerSlam
The first game of the rivalry was disappointing

Another disappointing match SummerSlam 2024 starred Drew McIntyre and
CM Punk
. After a long feud and stellar promos, this was one of the most anticipated matches of the year.

CM Punk vs. Drew McIntyre (and 8 other wrestling feuds focused on an inanimate object)
When an inanimate object means a lot to a wrestler, especially a babyface, it can lead to a personal storyline surrounding said object.
It was a good match overall, but it certainly didn’t live up to expectations. The in-ring action was pretty basic and slow, there weren’t any really impressive spots, and the in-ring psychology could have been better. Also, Seth Rollins because the special referee only hindered the match.

Women’s WarGames Match – Survivor Series
IYO SKY and Tiffany Stratton stole the show, but it wasn’t enough

This was a very promising WarGames match, as we had both female champions (Liv Morgan and Nia Jax), powerful wrestlers with great destructive capacity (Rhea Ripley, Bianca Belair and Raquel Rodriguez), a top athlete like
Tiffany Stratton
and a wrestler born for WarGames matches like IYO SKY. Not forgetting former Champions Bayley and Naomi as well as the experienced and talented Candice LeRae.
All of these factors should have led to a memorable WarGames match. But unfortunately, we had a lackluster match, with poor production and pitiful booking. The only interesting thing about the match was where Stratton and SKY launched themselves off the top of the structure, but nothing else.
2
The lineage vs. Cody Rhodes, Kevin Owens and Randy Orton – Money in the Bank
A mediocre Main Event

A team consisting of Cody Rhodes, Kevin Owens and Randy Orton should be enough to steal the show in any case, but that was not the case at Money In The Bank 2024. This high-powered team took on Solo Sikoa, Jacob Fatu and Tama Tonga, a nice solid team too.
Despite the talent in the ring, the match turned out to be very disappointing, perhaps the worst main event of the 2024 Premium Live Event.

Roman Reigns and The Usos reunited to take on the new Bloodline led by Solo Sikoa. Just seeing the original Bloodline back together generated high expectations, especially because fans thought something unpredictable might happen.
However, it ended up being a run-of-the-mill match that could have happened on an episode of SmackDown. The in-ring action wasn’t great and the storytelling was basic.
