The Minnesota Vikings almost couldn’t do this any more quietly. Justin Jefferson was brilliant, with 10 catches for 144 yards and two touchdowns as the Vikings beat the Seahawks 27-24 to keep pace with the Lions in the NFC North and for the NFC’s first playoff spot at 13- 2. Minnesota hosts the Packers next week before that Week 18 trip to Detroit, which could end up between the top two teams in the NFC with the No. 1 seed on the line.

In Miami, the Dolphins kept their playoff hopes alive with a 29-17 victory over the San Francisco 49ers. Jason Sanders kicked five field goals and De’Von Achane totaled 121 yards, including a 50-yard touchdown run to seal the victory. The Dolphins need help, but are closer to the Browns and Jets, and will likely be favored in both games.

The New England Patriots took a 14-0 lead in Buffalo, but the Bills battled back – led by two James Cook touchdowns – for a 24-21 victory. Buffalo scored 24 straight points at one point in the game. The Bills are still alive for the AFC’s No. 1 seed, but they would need two losses at Kansas City and two wins to secure the top seed. The Bills close at home against the Jets (Week 17) and at New England (Week 18), and the Chiefs – who beat the Texans on Saturday – close against the Steelers on Christmas Day, then at Denver in Week 18 .

To close out Week 16 on Sunday afternoon, the Raiders dominated the Jaguars 19-14. Brock Bowers became the first rookie tight end in NFL history to reach 100 receptions this year. He has 101 with two games remaining, and the NFL single-season reception record for a tight end belongs to Zach Ertz, who had 116 with the Eagles in 2018.

  • Raiders dominate Jaguars in Vegas

  • De’Von Achane gives Miami a two-score lead with less than 90 seconds left

Although unlikely, the 49ers have a better shot than if he had taken a knee or slipped, but the 50-yard touchdown run gives Miami a 29-17 lead. That number is important to some…since the game total was 44.5, according to BetMGM.

  • Brock Bowers adds nice round numbers to legendary rookie year for tight end

  • Purdy left late!

Kader Kohou picks it up, but San Francisco has three timeouts, but Miami has control of the game and can salt it with a first down.

  • Miami leads 22-17 after Jason Sanders’ fifth basket of the game

He was nickel and dim for the Miami offense all day and did most of the scoring, and now the Dolphins defense has to keep San Francisco out of the end zone.

  • Vikings come back for victory in Seattle to keep pace with NFC No. 1 seed

The late interception seals the deal for Minnesota as it improves to 13-2, and if they win they will be the No. 1 seed in the NFC.

  • Ameer Abdullah puts the Raiders back in front

Las Vegas leads 19-14 after missing a two-point try, following this touchdown from Ameer Abdullah:

But it wouldn’t have been possible without this INCREDIBLE escape from Aidan O’Connell

  • 49ers cut Dolphins’ lead

Eric Saubert at the reception of this one. George Kittle was GREAT today – seven catches, 97 yards – so it’s no wonder Miami didn’t get the 49ers’ No. 2 tight end in, and it’s a one-possession game in Miami Gardens.

  • Darnold to Jefferson AGAIN for the Seattle answer, and now Minnesota leads!

The Vikings just won’t go quietly into Seattle’s night, with a clear path to the No. 1 seed now that Philly has lost another one. Jefferson is up to 10 catches for 144 yards and now two touchdowns tonight.

  • The wheels just left the wagon for New England

Make it 24 straight points for the Bills after that fumble recovery in the end zone, and Buffalo is now up double digits as the fourth quarter comes to a close.

  • The Seahawks regain the advantage at the end of the 4th quarter

AJ Barner is the recipient of Geno Smith’s third touchdown pass of the game, and Seattle goes blow for blow with Minnesota and looks every bit like a playoff team. Can they hold on in the final four minutes to pull out a win and keep their playoff hopes intact?

  • Jason Sanders adds to his busy day with fourth jail for Miami

And Miami now leads 19-10 over the 49ers. The Dolphins need the win to stay connected in the AFC playoff race, and while they’ll need help, a win today — with Cleveland and the Jets closing out the season — will make the Dolphins would at least have a chance of controlling what they can control. with a favorable schedule.

  • Bills get another turnover

This time, he stops a Patriots scoring opportunity. Cam Lewis is the pick and Buffalo has a chance to increase its lead.

  • Bills take lead 17-14

Buffalo’s Tyler Bass hits it from 50 yards out and the Bills lead for the first time tonight

  • Buffalo forces a fumble and returns to action with a chance to take the lead

Dorian Williams recovered Rhamondre Stevenson’s fumble, and after being down 14-0 early, the Bills are in position to take the lead for the first time today.

  • James Cook gets into the end zone again as Buffalo ties

This time on a third pass from Josh Allen from four meters away. The Bills need a win to stay alive and have a chance against the AFC’s No. 1 seed. A loss today would end the top seed — and with it, the all-important first-round bye — in the AFC playoffs.

  • Brian Thomas secures a triple crown for his rookie in Jacksonville

  • The Seahawks tie the game with a field goal to open the second half

There are 17 in Seattle right now and the offenses are gearing up. Both teams have already totaled almost 400 yards of offense and it’s still early in the third quarter.

  • Tyreek de Tua for the three-yard touchdown and Miami takes the lead

Miami takes the lead late in the second quarter with Tua Tagovailoa’s 100th career touchdown pass, joining Dan Marino (420), Bob Griese (192) and Ryan Tannehill (123) as the only quarterbacks in the Dolphins to reach this milestone.
