Mlb The leader of all time, Pete Rose, died last fall when he was still serving his permanent ban on the League and his fame of fame. In an interview carried out 10 days before his death on September 30, 2024, Rose predicted that he would reach the temple of fame after his death.
Rose was definitively prohibited from MLB in 1989 when he was tried to have played on games as a player and manager. This prohibition spread to the temple of fame, where it would have been inducted a long time ago without the ban.
As they age pink, some fans have prompted to lift the ban and bring it into the temple of fame. However, as Rose said to Ohio Sportscaster John Condit in what would be his last interview, he never believed that he would be inducted when he was still alive.
“I got to the conclusion – I hope I’m wrong – that I will make the temple of fame after my death,” Rose told Condit, according to ESPN. “What I totally disagree with, because the reputation temple is for two reasons: your fans and your family. This is what the temple of fame is used for. Your fans and your family. And it’s for your family if you are here. It’s for your fans if you are here. Not if you have 10 feet. You understand what I say?
“What is it going to do to me or my fans if they put me in the fame of fame a few years after my death? What is it for? What is it for? Because they will make money on it?”
Towards the end of his life, more debates arise if the commissioner of the MLB, Rob Manfred, should raise the ban and let rise in the renowned temple. This has not yet happened, and our own Matt Snyder maintains that it should never happen due to the rose that breaks the very clear and long -standing rules on the game.
