Dreams finally come true
Cora achieved her goal of becoming a WWE wrestler
- Cora almost dreamed of becoming a WWE wrestler.

Cora Jade officially signed her contract with WWE in early 2021 when she was just 20 years old. Due to her previous wrestling experience, Cora Jade made her NXT debut within days in a tag team match, participating in the 2021 Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic.
Whenever WWE signs a new talent for the developmental brand, they usually hold a photoshoot with the new group of talents to showcase their latest signings to the world. Born in early 2001, Cora spent most of her life in Chicago, Illinois, like one of her favorite wrestlers, CM Punk. It was in Chicago that she learned to wrestle as part of the Freelance Wrestling Academy and even had a few of her first wrestling matches.
Cora, like much of the NXT roster, now lives in Florida, but Cora often posts photos of herself returning to Chicago for vacations and other special occasions.
Maintaining morale during an injury
She tore her anterior cruciate ligament and had to miss nine months
- Cora tore her ACL shortly after returning from a four-month layoff.
- The injury sidelined her for nine months.
- While she was away, she worked out and spent time with her friends.
Cora’s time in WWE wasn’t perfect as she suffered a pretty serious injury like most wrestlers. After a long period away from the ring, Cora returned quickly enough to suffer a torn ACL. This made her need to take even more time and stop any momentum she had after her initial return.
During her recovery, Cora was active on social media, showing off the time she spent with her friends and also working on getting back into the ring. She has since returned to NXT and can be seen working alongside her former partner Roxanne Perez and hovering around the NXT Women’s Championships hosted by the brand.

Her first match was a singles match against Red Velvet and her second appearance was a tag team match with Brandi Rhodes, Red Velvet and Leyla Hirsch. Cora, or Elayna at the time, was on the losing side every time.
Behind the scenes of the 2021 NXT War Games
Cora had a star performance in the match
- One of his first big matches in NXT took place at WarGames 2021.
- She teamed up with Raquel Gonzalez, Io Shirai and Kay Lee Ray.
- Cora scored the victory for her team.
Cora Jade’s first major match took place at NXT WarGames 2021, where she joined Raquel Rodriguez’s team. Besides Raquel and Cora, Io Shirai and Kay Lee Ray joined the babyface team. They would face Toxic Attraction and Dakota Kai at the event.
The women’s match would open the show and see the babyface team pick up the victory. Cora would even have some highlights during the match, earning the victory for her team.

Signed two special replicas of his old title

Roxanne Perez and Cora Jade formed a team to challenge The Toxic Attraction for the Women’s Tag Team Championship. The duo ended up winning the twin belts at the NXT Great American Bash. But the association between Perez and Jade didn’t last long, as the latter turned around to throw her title in a trash can.
