Paris – Paris Saint-Germain remains on the right track for an undefeated historical season in Ligue 1 after a 3-1 victory against the bitter rivals of Olympique de Marseille at Le Classique on Sunday, opened a 19-point lead with 26 games played in the best flight in France. Supported by their heroic of the UEFA Champions League in the middle of the week in Anfield, the Giants of Parisian ran in an advance of two goals via Ousmane Dembele and Nuno Mendes before Amine Gouiri ripposte for the goal of Roberto de Zerbi to be defeated by a Pol Lirola’s objective.

Fabian Ruiz, often a figure of frustration given his higher performance for the Spanish national team compared to their projections at the club level, managed two assists in the first 45 minutes before the former favorite of PSG Adrien Rabiot became supplier to reduce the arrears. Regarding the result, the result was not a surprise, but he maintains Paris on the CAP for an undefeated season late which has not been seen since the classic FC Nantes team of 1994-1995 which has lost only once against the RC Strasbourg Alsace at the end of the campaign.

The capital club could and should perhaps get better than the Canaries this quarter and the men of Luis Enrique have made a big step towards this with this result, but the rest of this season is strewn with challenges given the UCL and French Cup races. There will be no complaint of PSG which has wanted this type of development curve since it changed the objective of the Qatari project there are two summers, but it is true that there are still difficult lights as well as a unnecessarily complicated domestic calendar which will see Paris take on Nantes only 48 hours before facing the unity of the villa of Aston in Emery in Europe.

The Parisians control Ligue 1 from the start of this year, but refused to drop their authoritarian grip of the championship since the opening day, although the old iterations of this PSG team have tried and found means to throw similar promising positions – in particular around the main dates of the Champions League. Adding to this impressive advantage of almost 20 points while remaining competitive in Europe could prove to be delicate, but it is something that the French giants seem to master so far and something they hope to maintain in the last eight games of this campaign.

There is undoubtedly no real threat for this in the last games with OGC Nice at the house and RC Strasbourg Alsace the strongest remaining domestic opponents, but everyone knows that Paris was their worst enemies in the past and this could still be the case this year. There is still time to occur a lot in the PSG season and that should not exclude a hat -trick given the way in which their Champions League form has been renamed, but a two -legged connection against the side of the English Premier Aston Villa threatens to challenge this assertion thanks to the shape of the loan Marco Asensio.

In the end, Luis Enrique has his Parisian team by playing with confidence and able to beat anyone at the moment, the question is therefore not to divert the ball from the ball at the national level while the European adventure continues and may be deepened with an outing in the semi-finals. In any case, however, it is a very different PSG a few months ago and which seems ready to succeed and not only at the national level given their recent UCL force show in Anfield.
