A dominant performance in the second half saw the male basketball team in the southern Dakota State Vaining St. Thomas, conference leader, 102-86. The jackrabbits held the Tommia at 40% shooting in the second period while firing 56% themselves.
Owen Larson led SDSU by scoring 22 points on 7 shots out of 8. The jackrabbits had five double -digit break players, including Larson, Joe Sayler, Kalen Garry, Matthew Mors and Damon Wilkinson.
St. Thomas took an early advance behind the hot shot. Tommies pulled 86% of the land in the first five minutes to take a quick six -point lead. A 10-3 led by the state of southern Dakota obtained the jackrabbits at a strike distance to the 12-minute brand of the first half. SDSU then took the lead behind a strong section of Wilkinson who scored seven of the nine points during a two-minute section that saw the Jackrabbits take a 30-23 lead.

St. Thomas goalkeeper, Drake Dobbs, led all the scorers at halftime with 14 points on a shot of 5 for 7. Sayler, Garry and Wilkinson all collected seven points at the break for the state of Dakota South.
