Drew McIntyre does the best job of his career, but WWE has apparently nothing for him
Drew McIntyre does everything WWE asks him, but promotion still does not treat him as a main event.
Drew McIntyre Is a superstar that has trouble finding the best form before Wrestlemania, because its move to Smackdown has not gone well so far. It seems that a match against Damian Priest on the biggest scene of all makes signs for the Scottish warrior, but it seems that WWE has dropped the ball with the former world champion.
Drew McIntyre had its best year in 2024
Drew McIntyre Wad on the Smackdown brand after its move
- Drew McIntyre had the consensus quarrel of the year against CM Punk on RAW last year.
- He briefly became the world heavyweight champion in Wrestlemania 40.
- McIntyre moved to Smackdown in January of this year as part of the transfer window.
We must not forget how exceptional Drew McIntyre was throughout 2024, because he had the best individual year in his entire career. Starting by winning the world heavyweight world championship at Seth Rollins in Wrestlemania 40, the year of Drew only improved during his long quarrel with CM Punk.

CM Punk vs. Seth Rollins: This WWE quarrel cannot end on RAW
The very first crude on Netflix was designed by CM Punk against Seth Rollins, but there must be more in their history.
The two fought three times throughout 2024, culminating in a violent hell in a cellular match at Bad Blood which completely rejuvenates the once tiring gadget. McIntyre did the best work of character in his bitter and twisted and revengeful career which was firm to straighten the many wrongs he had endured. His punk chemistry was incredible, and their quarrel made the two men feel like key figures for WWE in 2025.
CM Punk continued its form this year by going to the last two of the elimination chamber while its quarrel with Seth Rollins intensifies. However, the same thing cannot be said for Drew McIntyre, who has struggled to maintain the same momentum and the same level of character work since his visit to Smackdown as part of the transfer window in January.
Drew McIntyre has become a loser
Drew McIntyre failed in his pursuit of the continuation of the line

- He swore to continue his mission to dismantle the former members of Bloodline during his move to Smackdown.
- McIntyre failed the first obstacle when he shocked against Jimmy Usto.
After his sensational quarrel with CM Punk, McIntyre returned with a new mission, which was to target the former members of Bloodline who had done him wrong in the past. The tastes of Sami Zayn, Jey and Jimmy USO all prevented Drew McIntyre from becoming WWE champion during the record reign of Roman Reigns with the title of first order, especially in the Clash at the castle in 2022.

WWE: each member of the line, classified by age
The line has dominated WWE in recent years. How old are the different members of the stable?
Drew took a good start while brutalized Sami Zayn on RAW and the main event on Saturday evening before being transferred to Smackdown in January of this year. McIntyre then started targeting Jimmy USO, who had only returned recently as a competitor in simple after the success of his brothers on RAW.
Unfortunately, the Reservation of the Scottish from the transition to the Blue brand was much more dispersed, which involved losing against Jimmy Usto somewhat unexpectedly on Smackdown. Having attracted Failter during the first obstacle finally put the remuneration for his Bloodline revenge scenario, because he is now clearly positioned in a quarrel with the former rival of the world championship of last year, Damian Priest.
Drew McIntyre needs a change
It may be time to transform the Babyface Scottish Warrior
- Drew McIntyre is ready to quarrely with Damian Priest towards Wrestlemania 41.
- We do not know how McIntyre is supposed to resume his momentum.
- McIntyre could benefit from a post-wrestlemania babyface tour.
It is probably too late now for Drew McIntyre to embark on a substantial match in Wrestlemania, because his elimination in the hands of Damian Priest inside the room seems to set up a quarrel between the two. The match itself is not disappointing on paper with the two world champions from last year, but it looks like a little compromise.
Since the priest and McIntyre had already had a quarrel last year, above the world heavyweight championship, this result seems to be a reduced return. It is also a match that will not do much for the Victor while weakening the loser for not having won a match with potential ramifications in the future.
With the way the two men are currently reserved on Smackdown, Damian Priest is in better position to win the match, continuing to surround the scene of the main event on the Blue brand after Wrestlemania. This leaves Drew McIntyre in the unfortunate position of losing another high -level match, while he slips on the WWE card.
The only real option that remains for McIntyre unless you take a break after Wrestlemania would be to return it again Babyface. The character “ hater ” was great, but there is now a host of global heels in the WWE title, including John Cena, of everyone, he can benefit from resuming a more pleasant path.
