The owner of the Manchester United minority, Sir Jim Ratcliffe, announced his intention to build a new stadium of 100,000 seats next to Old Trafford.
“Today marks the start of an incredibly exciting trip to the delivery of what will be the largest football stadium in the world, at the center of a regenerated Old Trafford,” said Ratcliffe in a statement.
The British billionaire had been opened on his desire for a new advanced field since he became a minority owner in February of last year, and the club had studied if he had to redevelop the existing stadium or build a new one.
