According to The Undertaker, there is one thing that each artist must successfully master if he wishes to do his mark in the professional struggle, and it is the possibility of resonating with the public. During a recent interview with WrestlerMark Calaway awarded his character work as the key that helped him establish a lasting link with fans of struggle in the world.
“If you pay them attention, you have won, and it’s the greatest thing,” said Calaway. “I think this is one of the biggest problems we have. It is better because we get good storytellers now, but … Many of these young wrestlers are so on their sports gifts that they don’t learn to tell stories.”
Although Calaway thinks that athletics is a big feature of having a wrestler, it doesn’t matter if the public does not accept who they are and the stories they tell. In addition to that, they will be confronted with having to constantly surpass themselves in the ring, which can become uncontrollable.
“I mean, I had a fairly decent career with five movements,” continued Calaway. “But I mentioned the emotion and I paid attention to people in one way or another. This is how you become a legend.”
The former Undertaker can currently be seen on the series of reality “WWE LFG”, where he is one of the four coaches preparing recruits of the performance Center to do his next steps in the industry.
