Dakota Kai won a revenge match with the women’s intercontinental champion Lyra Valkyria, with a victory over Ivy Nile during “Wwe Raw”. Valkyria defeated Kai in January in a final of the tournament to inaugurate the title of the Women’s IC, and after being so close to winning his first WWE single title, Kai was getting started with the Nile To determine the first challenger of the reign of Valkyria.
The fight started with the Nile taking charge, Kai fighting with short gusts in the first outings. The Nile is bent in an ankle lock, passing through a kneeling bar to force Kai in a string for the ropes and following kicks to the legs to continue wearing them. She responded to a brief fight with a DDT followed by a German sunset, not having put her opponent when she was taken in a withdrawal attempt.
She launched, but Kai would win a scorpion kick and set up for the GTK. The Nile escapes the attempted finisher and locked in the ankle lock; Kai escaped, hitting the GTK for the winning fall. Valkyria, who had watched from the edge of the ring, got up with the title IC kept in the air, looking at her next challenger. Kai hopes to make the third time the charm, since she lost in her two previous attempts to defeat Valkyria – first in the Queen of the Ring of 2024, then of the January gap for the title.
