John Cena and The Rock are two of the most famous men on the planet and Cody Rhodes is the face of WWE. Whatever planned then, the main event of Wrestlemania 41 and the following month which preceded it is to promise to be one of the most anticipated that we have seen for a long time. There is just a huge problem: it does not look like John Cena and the final boss will actually be there for a large part.

WWE fans have wanted John Cena to turn to the dark side in the past twenty years. Cena first found the celebrity of WWE when her generic character began to rap and became a doctor of Thuanomics. Cena was harm in the way he verbally destroyed his opponents, but he was so cool and his raps so captivating that fans began to encourage him. It was great, which led Cena to become a babyface and very quickly the face of the whole company, but with such a heavy weight on his shoulders, Vince McMahon would never do it, no matter how much the crowds huated.
2025 was formed to be this last nostalgic race for John Cena where he could have a few dream matches and say goodbye to the pro fight by rushing into the worship of fans who encourage him now. Maybe he would get a last championship race so that he could break Ric Flair’s record, then he was driving at sunset. Instead, we get so much more. Not only did John Cena turned the heel, but he did it in the most vile possible way by aligning himself with the rock. John Cena did the unthinkable and gave his soul to the final boss, all in the name of the glory of the championship. There is such a fascinating story to tell, but who will be the ones that will tell it?

As exciting as seeing Rock and John Cena work as a Talon tandem, there is a problem: the two men are part -time. Rock is a very busy man and, most likely because he has just been thrown into a film by Martin Scorsese, he will not participate in Wrestlemania 41. In recent years, he will present himself from time to time, but he is far from being used to it. Cena was used just as sparingly, and even if he is committed to making a few dozen dates in 2025, it is still not much.
The gross room after elimination showed the problem with such a huge angle. It was the speech of the whole show, but none of the three men involved was in the building. It is understandable why Cody Rhodes was not. He is a guy from Smackdown, and he has to take a few days off to sell his injuries. But if John Cena and The Rock had been there to explain it, WWE could really have capitalized at the time. Instead, no man arose. Rock had already declared in the press conference of the chamber of elimination of the post he leaving for Africa, and According to Fightful SelectNot only would John Cena be absent from RAW on March 3, but he will not be on March 10 either. Fightul added:
“Most of which we spoke this evening to WWE believes that the rock will be in Wrestlemania in Vegas, but it was far from being confirmed. We did not hear anything to lend to what he would do there.”

It is confusing that WWE would reserve their hottest angle for many years and that the largest stars have attached themselves to it to be there for follow -up. Unless John Cena presents himself in a surprising way on Smackdown, for which he is not announced, and that he does not appear next week on RAW, it will be at the very least two weeks since his betrayal of Cody Rhodes when he presents himself.
Cena and The Rock could both appear in pre-Pagina video packages, but it would seem lifeless. Remember a decade ago when rock became WWE champion, to start sending video segments rather than being there live in the building? He killed the buzz. Bringing them to appear in video packages would be better than nothing, but it would always be very disappointing. The turn of John Cena’s heel immediately brought back the memories of Hulk Hogan who turned the heel and forming the NWO at WCW Bash at the 1996 beach. What if Hogan then disappeared just after and did not capitalize on the shock he had created?
Cody Rhodes is also finished as a Babyface can be, and it is solid on the microphone, but WWE cannot depend on it to sell the main event of Wrestlemania 41. It must have done it before thanks to the part -time status of Roman Reigns. There is one month to the show of the shows. It’s not much time. John Cena and The Rock must be on television as much as possible, or one of the greatest tongues at the heel will be nothing more than a small gadget for a full.
