Tommy Dreamer believes former WWE SmackDown Women’s Champion Natalya deserved to make it to the finals and win the Women’s Intercontinental Title.
Veteran women’s star Natalya competed in a triple threat match in the first round of the Women’s Intercontinental Championship tournament, where she and Alba Fyre lost to Iyo Sky on the December 23 edition of “WWE Raw.” After the match, a distraught Natalya expressed her disappointment. on social networksthat Dreamer mentioned “Burst open“.
“As for Nattie, I thought she had a great look, a great performance, she kind of stole the show, and I’m Nattie’s biggest fan,” Dreamer said. “I agree with her (tweet) – I would have loved to see Nattie win, to be the first ever Women’s Intercontinental Champion. I thought it would have added to her Hall of Fame already in the first round, and she has the looks good – she actually looks better than ever – and she’s working hard.”
Dreamer explained that Natalya’s victory would have been a great moment, stating that it would have been a fair reward for the work she has done throughout her career. He thinks Natalya deserved to receive these accolades, like Chelsea Green did after winning the US women’s title.
“It’s a big moment if this woman wins,” Dreamer said. “That would have been a huge feel-good moment, and again, if it was a first – Chelsea (Green), even though she’s a heel, has a huge babyface pop – and that should have gone to Nattie too .”
The ECW Original said he wanted Natalya to win not because he likes her, but because of her long WWE career and history in the promotion. In the Women’s Intercontinental Title Tournament, Sky will face Lyra Valkyria in the semi-final, while Dakota Kai and Zoey Stark will face off in the other semi-final.
