– Al Hilal superstar Neymar gave the green light for a loan return to his boyhood club Santos, Ben Jacobs reports. Negotiations are currently underway between the two clubs, but no agreement has been reached. Neymar began his career with Brazilian side Santos, scoring 107 goals in 177 league appearances between 2009 and 2013. Prior to interest from Santos, the 32-year-old was heavily linked with a move to MLS side Chicago Fire FC being among the interested clubs. . Neymar’s contract with Al Hilal is set to expire this summer, meaning he will become a free agent once the proposed loan deal is completed.
– Three Bundesliga clubs are monitoring the Lyon striker Rayan Cherki before its scheduled release, according to Sky Germany. The 21-year-old, who is expected to be available next summer for around €22 million, is attracting interest from Borussia Dortmund, Bayern Munich and Bayer Leverkusen. Although Cherki’s current contract with Lyon does not expire until 2026, there is a “secret verbal agreement” between the player and the club that he will be allowed to leave for a fixed fee at the end of the season.
– Juventus have entered the race to sign Chelsea Renato Veiga with talks already underway, Fabrizio Romano revealed. The versatile defender is also wanted by Dortmund, who are trying to loan him out this month. Newcastle United Lloyd Kelly is also on Juve’s radar, as the Serie A giants aim to sign a centre-back before the transfer window closes. Veiga, 21, joined Chelsea last summer but has struggled to find minutes in the Premier League this season.
– The future of Brighton & Hove Albion Julio Enciso could be decided next week amid continued interest in the Atalanta player, Rudy Galetti reports. The striker was the subject of an offer from Atalanta earlier this month, although it was below Brighton’s €40m asking price. While Atalanta are “still in the race” to sign him, other European clubs have reportedly renewed their interest in the 20-year-old.
– VfL Wolfsburg made loan offer for Brentford right-back Mads Roerslevsaid Aerial sports. The proposed deal contains clauses to make the transfer permanent depending on the number of games he plays for the Bundesliga club. Roerslev, 25, is under contract at Brentford until June 2026. The Denmark international has played 18 times in the Premier League this season, providing two assists.
